model painting
« on: May 24, 2011, 05:51:59 PM »
im a fan of making models but i always mess up on the paint by leaving streak marks and stuff like that. I really want a smooth, flat paint job but i dont know how to do it. Do you use an air spray thing or just a brush. I want to make them like they appear on the box. please help.

I used to build models a lot.  A good airbrush really helps.  Here is an excellent resource for you as you learn.

Airbrushing makes the Job much faster and more professional looking also using Semi Flat or Semi Gloss paint ( for planes) thinned just a tad so that it will flow out when using a brush, also quality brush's will give to a better finish also, i just think of it as a real paint job just scaled way down and prep it and paint it as such.
