I always felt humbled, blessed, and at times, overwhelmed by traveling overseas as a representative of our military. I never felt superior or better than those usually unfortunate peoples in whose country I served. I was a farm boy from the hills in Idaho, barely 18 years old, seeing sights I would have otherwise only read about. I was honorable & never brought shame on myself, my family, or my country. I am blessed. I've lost friends, missed peoples, longed to revisit, but I know it has all changed, but mostly for the better.  :salute
