Tankers on Tanks
« on: May 30, 2011, 02:42:32 PM »
One of the things i find iconic about tanks in WWII is how you see the commanders and gunners overwatching the battlefields through there hatches. Id like to see this take place specially with the new GV system. I don't care if they are complete ghost and have rounds go right through them. I just think that it would add some realism to the game. Same concept can be added throughout other arsenals in the game.

Here's a little example i made.

Would there be purpose or a benefit in this or just eye candy?

:bhead  just..no.

As for the OP i think that when you take fire you go back to the drivers seat and drive around in there, but its done manually. i think this might be a nice feature but wouldnt be more than eye candy.

if you take out a pintle gunner you at least can tell better by seeing a body lie over the hatch motionless  :D

But what happens when the commander is hit? Will there be no commander's position? Or when your under fire you will go in and shut the hatch?

if the commander is hit i would imagine that nothing more happens then him retreating back undercover. Only when the tank is hit and killed in one shot will he be seen dead.

That would be nice to see. Especially after they fire and you see it reload.
