The AVA is a different Arena. the setups are different, the tactics are different, the pilots are different. Some more different then others! 
Not everyone is going to like flying in the AVA and are not afraid to tell you so and why. the only real way to decide is to try it yourself.

Some of the AVA staff are trying a war-like setup with map rotation. Its something you can come in a give a try.......or not. otherwise its up to you to make your own fun. we've tried to make it a little more immersive in the AVA. while its not for everyone, its a good time for most. All i can say, is give it a try. worst case scenario, you wont like it, and the MA's are always there for you.

 what jaeger1 is "accidentally" leaving out, is just HOW different some of the pilots are.

 lets just say there's some luftwienies that like Marlena Dietrich, and leather leiderhosen a little tooooo much.

Totally disagree.  It is the same guys that play in the MA using the same tactics.  I don't change my self or my tactics just because I logged in an arena with a different name and I think no one else does.  People I meet in the AvA fly the same way they fly in the MA.

Does AVA ever have more then 20 players? been noticing it empty a lot lately, kinda would enjoy hanging around Axis side AVA rather then Main Arena when the hordes are taking over. If over 20 players, can someone shoot a time frame? I mainly fly after 4pm EST

There are times when there are 20 or more, you just never know when that will happen. You can have a lot of fun with lower numbers too and numbers seem to bring numbers.

Your best bets are evenings after 6pm est.

20 players on the twin rivers map is almost non-stop fighting

so we can post a jeep misjun? maybe 100 jeeps crossing the bridge into enemy territory, looking for rommel, making him look like a fool in his panzers whilst they never run outta gas? and destroy their bases with only our wits, and the 50 cals on our jeeps.?
