HTC: Increasing numbers for asia/pacific timezone??
« on: February 17, 2000, 05:14:00 PM »
It's pretty quiet when I log on after work and many of those that are on are off by themselves capturing fields or fighting against the side with less numbers - sometimes 3-4 guys against 1 or 2  .

To HTC: Maybe have a discount price for this period to increase numbers??

Any other suggestions?

To guys on during this time: If you're practicing capturing fields..ok fine.  If you're the only one in your country, switch sides.  If you're attacking a one man country, go pick on the country with numbers instead - it's more fun and people might actually stay on instead of logging off in boredom.

A few months!?  ...I'm paying about $100au/month (including ISP costs) to play AH.  I don't use my ISP time for much else - 90% is for playing AH.  As is, the only time to be had any fun is during the weekends when I can play during US busy hours.

I know things are coming, but even when they do come, it's always been that the asia/pacific times have attracted less players.  It was this way with WB and no doubt AH will be the same.

All I'm suggesting is maybe HTC can do something to increase the numbers coz as is, the arena numbers are pretty low during this asia/pacific timezone.  Some entertainment complexes (cinemas comes to mind) offer discount rates for non-busy hours/days - is it not possible for HTC to do something similar?

Last night when I logged on from here in Australia there were 5 people on.  I flew for 10 minutes to the nearest enemy field which showed a con in residence.

Arrived over the field only to find the con landing and logging.

No other enemies within 100 miles.  Logged off.

Tonight was much better.... there were 6 online

HI guys, im not a memeber yet but I flew Asia/Pac times too from NZ, i thought I would watch the numbers for a while, most i see in the arena about the time I would fly is 6-10 like you guys have said, sorry to say I wont be joining with this many in, I also have a account with brand W which I only fly my 5 hours worth, but in the ACA and DOA arenas there are still 25+ around the time I fly and thats FREE, so im going to stay there for a bit longer and see if the numbers build or it HT makes the priceing plans  a bit more consumer friendly other than the all you can eat one he only wants. But I doubt it. Sorry guys hopefully I be flying with you in maybe 3 months or so.

Keep in mind, Confirmed Kill (which became WB's) used to have about 5 or 6 people online after 11:00 pm IN THE USA!!  Like mentioned in Rosco's post, build something, they will come...

I go to alot of WW2 crap down at the Museum of Flight, and various other 'Aviation' events here in Seattle, WA, and everytime I do, I get someone 'hooked' on flight sims, some eventually start doing online flight sims, spread the word, the more the merrier!

Hotdog, Salute!  Remember waaay back when I was orbiting your airfield, saying I was out of ammo, and taunted you to come and and kill me? Hehe, Take care bud!  Hope to see you soon! (No, I won't lie about how much ammo I have left again!)
