flying under bridges causes an automatic crash/death
« on: May 31, 2011, 07:14:50 PM »
is there a way we can get this bug fixed? It doesn't matter how perfect you clear the bridge you always get blown up on the other side. I am not a programmer but if we can fly through hangers we should technically be able to fly under bridges. Thanks

They're not designed to be flown under.  So...no bug; sorry.

Most likely, but the real question is, is it worth the trouble so some people can fly under then now and then?

the standard bridge objects are like highway overpass bridges...not good to fly under anyway...there is a way to make them so you can fly under them safely but, then it's a custom map than won't be used i the main arenas.

I would much rather have HTC work on a new plane. Can't remember a single time in the past six years that I needed to fly under a bridge.

I did, was running from a zeke in the AvA (was in a P-39) and tried to shake him by heading under the bridge and pulling back left on the stick. only one problem, i hit an invisible wall under the bridge :furious

Haven't used a bridge, HOWEVAH, hangers are great for clearing your six.  You get that satisfying BOOM as the target fixated chap smacks into the hanger door.

People have done that to me lots of times, I just fly over the hangar and shoot them as they pull up.

Only an enemy base when its deacked and the swarm of green makes it pointless to try and get a kill.  Then barnstorming becomes the best option.

this is exactly my reasoning, i just want to laugh after seeing them go boom. I cant imagine it is hard to change as gvs can already drive under the bridge and some aircraft can easily fit under them. If it is a big pita then dont worry about it as it would not be worth teh time invested to change it. But, If it is easy i think it would be a lot fun.

Also I'd like to add that I seen many people crash in the hangar while being in front of me.

Go ahead and fly under them, just pretend they're a worm hole to the tower.  :aok
