hows come there isn't a metric equivalent for time?

There are exactly 86,400 standard seconds (see SI for the current definition of the standard second) in a standard day, but in the French decimal time system there are 100,000 decimal seconds in the day, so the decimal second is shorter than its counterpart.

Decimal to Standard

One decimal second is 86,400/100,000 = 0.864 standard seconds.
One decimal minute is 1,440/1,000 = 1.44 standard minutes, or 1 standard minute and 26.4 standard seconds.
One decimal hour is 24/10 = 2.4 standard hours, or 2 standard hours and 24 standard minutes.
One hundredth of a day is 14 standard minutes 24 standard seconds, or approximately 15 minutes.

Standard to Decimal

One standard second = 1.15740 decimal seconds
One standard minute = 69.44 decimal seconds (or .69 decimal minutes)
One standard hour = 4,166.67 decimal seconds (or 41 decimal minutes and 67 decimal seconds)

Rtb with 5 kills and a deep strike and tons of objects destroyed...

THE ARENA WILL RESET IN 4 MINUTES

No country won the map...sides are perfectly balanced at 4:30 AM Eastern and it resets with a 4 minute warning

MA is a complete waste of time if your a bomber

Now I know why HTC has lost so many people to WoT

Forget MA

The war had been won and thus we got a reset and a new map.

Only automatic resets result in the kind of message where a timer counts down "X minutes to". Only two events cause this: A won war and the scheduled arena switchover.

The whole arena reset thing is joke

So what should happen in your opinion when a war is won? :)

Oneway I've got to teach you how to fly bombers. I have so much fun flying at 10-15k and I can usually fly a pretty good sortie in under an hour. You don't have to save gas by flying at 40k all the time.  :D

Honestly?  give them more than 5 minutes to land, make it 15 minutes. The the Arena changes to LWOH you get more of a warning time ( 10min till lock warning then 5 Min's till boot warning if i remember) yea that seems fair.  No one is going to care that people will still be fighting till the Map reset it happens like that all the time, it just gives those on long missions a chance to land.  So whats wrong with adding 10 minutes more to the Map Reset Time to allow for this.

i would love to hear your reason why this would wouldn't work and what great harm it would cause to the game. Bottom line is adding extra time before the map resets won't hurt anyone.

+1.  Having a ten minutes to lock and 10 minutes to reset just like the changeover would'nt hurt.  In fact I bet most players would appreciate having time to land sorties.  You'd just have to lock the field status once the war was won.

Well BE that's how i feel and I'm no bomber pilot, adding time hurts no one period. anyone that can provide proof that its detrimental to the game I'd love to hear that reason. Oneway posted a concern, granted he was alittle pissed when he did it but it's really no need to flame, he has a good point and no one yet has a reason why it shouldn't be added.
