Enemy icons switch off at 100 feet AGL
« on: June 06, 2011, 08:34:38 AM »
For those times when U just want to go land without being vulched on the runway while deadstickin 'er in.
Also more fun for the NOE dweebs and safer for goon drivers :D
(Only on aircraft, GV icons are fine IMO)
The Kanonenvogel had 6 rounds per pod, this is not even close to being open for debate.

:headscratch: is that a "wish"? uh, you realize, nevermind i'm sure someone else will point it out.

wouldn't work as well as you think...you can still get spotted and vulched, especially on a capped field.

They already are under your plane so being 30 feet over the water or land will render them invisible.

Of course, the enemy know any plane low that does not show an icon is not friendly.

I think it's ok now and it does offer some concealment enough that I was able to drop a few knight troops on the town of 2 different bishop fields that the rooks had closed as they milled about above me.

Nice. And you know what'll happen? It will be just like some of the sillyness you run into in the AvA, where no icons mean that a sky-lighted plane is highly visible and one running on the deck is in stealth mode, leading to alt being a disadvantage. And can you imagine what it would mean for NOEs...No thank you.
"Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals."

It's already like that now....enemy icons are displayed below planes so they don't show up when really close to the surface.
