Hey, I'm a 56k user too.  Do you think it could be 'possibly something on your end'?  I'm holding a steady 250 or less
ping.  I really doubt that HT is trying to ruin you connectivity...

:rofl another "i have a problem and it's htc's fault"...no way it could be a problem on your end or somewhere in between could it?

my pings are in the 40-50 ms range...obviously it's not the servers.

way to make your 5th post ever totally worth it  :aok    i've heard that AH's servers run at like 1 or 2%, which is obviously nowhere remotely close to capacity.        i have the crappiest connect in the universe and my ping is just fine.     before you try pointing fingers at everyone else, point it at yourself and see what you come up with.

Ping times have nothing to do with the servers.  The servers are the same as they have been for a few years and have never gotten close to 10% utilization.  The servers are way overkill, for a reason.

Ping times are network related and we have no control over the Internet.  If you run a PingPlot, you can get an idea of what the ping times are all along the route your data takes to the servers.  I stress "to" as you cannot see the return path from the servers, but I can and I am happy to run a tracroute back to you if it will help pin point problems with the Internet.

I nuked your post as it contained nothing helpful and was very inaccurate as to what the problem could be.  No reason to mislead others with incorrect speculation, when we, and others, are willing to help solve issues.
