The truly sad part of this video is that this man is deemed a "hero."  A little research on this guy shows him to be a well known thug and possibly mentally ill to boot.  I'm not defending either one of these men but, in light of what I've read, I have a hard time feeling proud of this mans actions.

Yup, That old guy, the 'vet', has made headlines before for doing crazy things. This isn't a video of two 'stupids' or two 'racists', its a video of two crazies and a twisted audience egging them on.
Yeah, that's right, you just got your rear handed to you by a fuggly puppet!

I have a video of this "veteran" done shortly after this hit the web by a local news station.  During the interview he let it be known he was on the bus to go across town to do a drug deal (yes all he said was "buy some weed", but to me it's still a drug deal).  Some hero.

I dont care if the old guy was on his way to piss in a church offering plate.  What he did to put that "tough guy" in his place was awesome.  The old timer stood his ground and made an example out of him.

And what's unAmerican about that?  We wouldn't give it a 2nd thought if he were headed out to buy a 6 pack or a pack of smokes.  He could have been on his way to visit a prostitute for all I care.

The bottom line with me is that he wasn't infringing on the rights of anyone, but the amperlance guy (and his film crew) were.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

"Rights" is not the issue.  Blatant disrespect is.  Those loud mouthed POS's got what there foot shoved down their throats.

Vietnam Tom started that fight and finished it. But I don't really care about that, it's just fun watching two idiots punch each other.

I automatically do not support the black dude on grounds that he over reacted in a hostile way. Whether or not the other guy was right or wrong i don't care so much about.

Why do you guys turn this into a philosophical discussion instead of laughing at the slapstick humor?

Is that a poke at me, or them?  Either way, it's funny.
