Note the central engine can rotate either way and use gearing to rotate the prop. The engine can be reversed during flight as required.

This would be a nice edition to flesh out the scenarios.

doesnt VLR stand for Very Long Range? if thats the case then why does this make it look like a wimp when all the VLR is is a P51?

Heh, you would figure that. But 109's are boarded from the left, so putting the cockpit on the left would make sense.
