Noble Energy
« on: June 21, 2011, 12:18:56 PM »
I have applied for an open opportunity in Platteville, Colorado that I am highly enthusiastic about. Yet upon contacting their HR department I have not received any returned calls. My calls were informational purposes only, not to inquire about the application. I'm just stumped that no one is ever in the HR department at such a large facility. Just at a loss on what to do about a position that I can fill when I can't even inquire about it...

keep calling.
I was worried about being "that guy"... lol  but after not having my calls returned, I did call and made the point that that person isn't responding after seven days.. they then forwarded me to another HR rep for me to leave a message ... so I did just that...
so now, What would be a reasonable response time frame?...

move on in attempt to find another opportunity afterwards? Kinda depressingly silly to have something right up your ally and let it slip by because HR is busy or .... who knows....
also this isn't the only company I've tried to communicate with....   is on-line applications the only way anymore? what happened to a phone call and an interview?...

HR may not do the interviews.  The other option is call and ask for someone in management.  Sometimes your have to kick the hornet nest to get action.

good point, I'll give them this additional 24 hrs and then I'll call and ask for management. I just don't want to become seemingly whinny and/or beat a dead horse either...  errr...    :uhoh

Human resources, the people that conduct the employees.  ie, hire, fire,- disciplinary, promotions- the ones that keep record of employee behavior and attendance...   did I cover it all?

lol shuffler, this would be absolutely comical.
and eskamo joe. I live in Indiana, I will go there for the interview no problem, but to fly to colorado for them to say, "we'll call you" would be a vacation built on a waiting game and frustration build up ;)
