well lets go back 70 years when millions of people died in war were those better times? or 100 years ago when lots of young people would die in stupid duels.

tell me which decade in the past 100 years were times better than now talking from a society point of view.

Don't take the 'tree/forest/sound' quote so literally, I'm implying it's a metaphor for how anything that didn't show existence at one point in time now exists because of the massive amounts of videos.

So basically, every tree that might fall in the forest is always seen.

Generally disease of some sort was involved. In that time folks gave birth at home with a neighbors wife attending to the birth.

Interesting too how many Woodsmen and Masonic stones there are.

I completely agree.  It's not that the problems are happening more frequently - it's that more of it is being documented.  It's all about perception.
