I loved playing Silent Hnter III, but my computer system does not. Nice pics though. And it would be flat awsome to have them, though then again, my computer won't take it, so I would have to stop playin AH. Not cool. This one arena thing is already pushing it to the limits again.. :furious

Yep,these pics were from SH4 and it soaked up puter power for sure. That sim is so full of rich scenery & audio I would load it, turn it up and just let the sounds fill the room. Like being at the beach, waves, storms, and gulls. I think HT could find a way to strip it down to work.

There was/is a multi-player I did once and it was intense. Having opponent (not AI) destroyers seeking you. Talk about sensory overload. The sonar and tactics were fantastic. In a destroyer I would get over a sub, directly over and drift with him dead quiet. After a while, he would think I left, surface to have a look right into my boat destroying his periscope. Then all hell broke loose setting and launching depth charges.

I think we could start with certain areas or ports being supply depots having convoys arrive and, of course, the slaughter out in the open seas. B-24 & Catalina patrols looking for wolf packs, etc. They already have torpedos. The HE 115 float planes, tenders resupping the UBoats, all risky activities requiring coordination.

I don't  think it would take so much power to get it to play. AH seems to have great skills in keeping just enough immersion with lower puter powers. It could be an era maritime room similar to WWI biplanes.

Maybe have a separate ongoing maritime map that communicates its status to the main map. Lets say if Rook subs destroy a Bish convoy then the stock of supplies for the main map for just the bases along the Bish/Rook front would be diminished by 80% or some value. Consequence would be that Bish can't load their Lancs fully. Instead of 9 1000 lbrs and 1 4000 lbr, they can only get 3 & 1 etc.

Now we have ords in an "all or nothing" availability according to base ammo bunkers, not so realistic. For me., I'd have actual truck drivers needed for resupply, like a Red Ball Express, and you don't get auto supplied, gas or ammo. Team effort.

Decided to make a new character in Oblivion after several play-through of FO New Vegas.  The game still has it's charm, even if it looks a bit dated.  Such a classic.  :aok

Ya'll need to get out more. I had a dream last night but she didn't look anything at all like a submarine, or a run through the woods. She did have big cams though...

I had a dream that I was walking across a beach and found a bottle.  I opened it out of curiosity and a genie popped out.  The genie said to me 'I will grant you two wishes but I have a sense of humor so for every wish I grant you I will give your ex wives double'

I think a bit and say 'I want 100 billion dollars.  Cash right now.  No taxable'

'Granted but each of your ex wives will get 200 billion'

'Rock on genie'

And poof I was deep in cash..

'What is your second wish sir' says the genie 'but remember your ex wives will get double what you wish for'

I say without hesitation 'I wish that you would beat me half to death'

Sadly I woke up ;)

TY chef plan on doin more of em as I love that game, just too much fun to make a high angle shot ona escort to clear the way for a surface convoy attack.

I tryed to get the online workin and figured out it doesn't at all looked online and Its not just me but everyone for SH4 no one can play online, and from what I've read Ubisoft hasn't even tryed to fix it and doesn't care to either.
So guess we're all SOL in that department.
