at long last
« on: June 25, 2011, 09:50:12 PM »
It's been one month and three years of seemingly hopeless job search interspersed with irregular part time work, but Monday I start a new professional job in my industry.  :pray Amen.  Answered prayer!~

I know what it's like to send a thousand resumes out into the black hole.  :bhead  But this job, the one I landed, I applied to last August:huh  Yep.  Apparently there are some companies that really do keep your resume on file.

Let me encourage anyone who has given up hope and quit their search, as I have on occasion, to make at least one targeted job inquiry each week, and get back in the game.

Right on! Once I went a year as I had a 'no compete' clause. It was pretty rough year.

Congratulations! It's moments like this, seeing a good hard-working American back in work, that give the rest of us hope.

And based on the title here I thought he was gonna tell us he lost his virginity.

Oh well. Finding a job is the next best thing I guess. Certainly improves your chances of experiencing the first best thing.

WTG and good luck on that virginity thing  :aok
