Allthough the intentions are good, would you want it soiled with the inevitable slinging match that would occur at some stage.

I don't like it, it seems like a waste.  The number of veterans dying would not be substantial enough to justify its creation.  The O'Club seems like a perfectly good place to remember the fallen and their tribulations.  Inevitably the aforementioned mud-slinging would start, and it would become much like the Cagematch of Flamewarriors.
