I'm guessing you never played contact sports  :P

I played both forms of football, and I have to say, what people call "soccer" is far more tiring, and does take more energy/athleticism.

What people don't realize is that if anything, american football is more of a strategy game between the coaches with athletes as game pieces.

And no, I didn't play kicker, played D-Tackle in high school (tied for most sacks in division), also was goalie for 3 years until injury.

Woman's World Gold Cup is being played in German now. Worth watching.

Pips you are correct. Played both in high school and always was dragging my butt after a soccer game, but not so with football.

Yeah, thats BS. My sons graduation was delivered in both spanish and english, why not the closing ceremony in which the USA was the visiting team in a city in America. As a Californian im here to tell you that California is no longer a land of the free or part of the United States for that matter. We have been annexed by Mexico and nobody cares. Same for Texas, Arizona, and numerous other places our govt. says we shouldnt go to.

Goodbye sweet America

The issue was not that the ceremony was in both english and spanish, it was only in spanish. No english at all (and the were playing in the states). I would have no issue if was in both, that would make sense.

CONCACAF's ceremony, and the majority of nations in CONCACAF are Spanish speaking.

Not that I agree with it.

Where did they get people for a soccer team? I seriously thought that all of the mexico folks that could run, jump, or swim were over here now.

That is wrong shuff, but still funny. :lol

To be honest they really should have conducted the ending ceremony in both English and Spanish.  Then the only people to get a tweaked nose would be the ones that can't stand soccer/football.

Clean water, a decent education, and a country that people are literally dying to get into is nice.  Still, I'd trade it all for a good fútbol team.
