Calibration

I have a Saitek ST290 Pro. When I calibrate in windows, the Z axis goes all the way from 50% to 0%. It will only go to 90%, though. Is there a way to remedy this?

Have you checked if you have got the latest drivers for your version of Windows (What ever that may be!).

You are absolutely right to make sure it is working 100% in Windows before going into AH.

Do a google for your stick "Saitek ST290 Pro drivers" Don't rely on microsoft to be up todate use the Saitek site if you find it.

saitek has drivers for that stick in the software section of their site including vista/win7 32 and 64 bit.

The thought has just occurred to me that if the stick is old, the "Pot" might be your problem. Potentiometer's do wear out and start to give perculiar feedback over the travel. You have not indicated that it ever used to be OK, so I assumed (dangerously!) that you were trying to set it up new.
Also, if it is old, consider some mechanical issues such as a slipping pot shaft, again assuming it is a rotary pot.

I want a new joy stick. This one is at least 3 years old and yes, it did used to go from 0-100 easy. It only recently started being "off."
