Base Capture Kills Troops?

Dunno if this is right or not... Nor have I heard of this...

FB$ were sneeking troops into a V-base, we had our troops running... All guns were down and everything was perfect... THEN!! the base we originated from was captured by the bishops, thus killed our troops...

Since when does this happen?

And no - no guns popped cause we bailed out with our troops!  :bhead

Their supply line was cut.  Those troops were doomed no matter what.

Your troops were running, so you bailed out of your C47/M3/whatever? Did you spawn into another vehicle/plane/whatever?
Just like with ords, if you let them go and then bail or die, you need to give them time to do their job before you re-up.
As soon as you re-up, if the bombs/torps/troops are still on the move, they vanish.
This was put into effect quite a while ago to twart the bomb-n-bail, torp-n-bail, troop-n-bail crowds that would up 20 PT boats in 30 seconds to have 80 torps headed for a CV.

no no no - we bailed out with out troops like we have done a thousand times and we stayed in our chutes... We were there watching them run... Then right when the original base was captured our troops died...

We're trying to re-create this event in Mid-war / Early-war

Probably expecting the other Knights to hold down the fort. FB$ usually try to be proactive in capturing bases, once they up a big mission halfway across the map, you don't really want to end sortie just to defend something that should be defended by fellow Knights ( I heard the Knights really like furballing).

If ya were there Cap you would of seen not matter how hard we tried to defend the base that was taken during this it was kinda comical cv off shore and initial attack was 30 plus planes. I upped a few times contributed to their perks with my deaths and upped in a field gun for a while til base was taken. Still had fun though
