onscreen instructions for training.
« on: June 29, 2011, 05:33:20 AM »
hey guys, its 6 a.m and this thought poped in my head, figured i'd share it.

it might be hard to properly describe this wish, but here goes.

this wish is primarily for training, but i wish for the ability for trainers to be able to show the trainees what buttoms/trottle/pedals they are using onscreen at the time.

when the trainee joins the trainers plane, depending on what the trainer has registered, a little keyboard will pop up on the trainee's screen (along with a throttle, pedals, and joystick if the trainer has those)

and as the trainer flys, the buttons he pushes would light up from the motions he performs on the Trainees screen.

example: if a trainer was showing a trainee how to use flaps, then the trainer would push the q and w buttons, when he pushed those buttons, the Q and W would light up on the trainees on screen keyboard, showing him the buttons the trainer pushed at what time in flight and for how long. same philosphy goes for throttle/pedal/joystick. when a motion is done, the motion would be shown on the trainees screen.

second, i wish for trainers to have the ability to record there button pressing, and all other workings of ACM's while performing them, then these recordings be able to be released in the training room.

it would basically be where, when someone spawned in a plane, they could bring the clipboard up, go to the "ACM's" tab, choose what they would want to do, like a immelman, and depending on what set-up the person has, the symbols will pop up on the screen, and it will play in sequence the buttons necessarily to pull off the combat maneuver.

just thought i'd put it out there. to the Trainers: if these arent good ideas, then my apologies, they just poped in my head from lack of sleep  :lol  :salute
