Time stamp?
« on: July 07, 2011, 04:10:45 PM »
Just curious, has anyone thought of having a time stamp option for the chat box? I did a search and havent found much.
I have been known to stay logged in and tab to desktop and when I come back to the game and the arena only has a few people in it, the chat box is moving at the speed of smell and someone asked a question "1v1 or anyone awake" You can at least see how long ago they said it. (if they left the arena it won't matter at that point).
This would be a toggled option when the arena picks up and the chat box is moving at the speed of blur, then a timestamp would not be needed.

Still would like to see a scrollable chat box.

+1 for scrolling chat box.

+1 for time stamps, don't know of the best way to display them visually though...

I'd like to add that I'd like the ability to use a finer font for the chat box, thus having for space for a line of text, then a time stamp might be able to fit in just fine.

+3 -- as well as an unrelated wish. I'd like an improved way of changing GUI (clipboard colours)
as well as notches or custom value slots (read: a place to type in a number, 0-100) for all menu
sliders. While I'm at it, a more streamlined way to set convergence, currently it's a wiggle your
mouse, hope to highlight the right colour, then wiggle back and forth to try and find the right #,
rinse repeat.

I'd also like to be able to adjust the gamma for the map image in the clipboard, so it's not such a chore finding just the right color base icons to be able to read them (especially with the various colors each of the maps are, resets mean adjust the GUI again).

If I could just make the map 25% darker I'd still see the land features just fine and could read the base names better.

Not sure about all this but I always thought it would be nice to hilite some individual so you would not miss his/her post. So you can single out one person without other clutter.

Maybe there is a setting for this already that I don't know about. I'm a noob after all.

There's ".wingman" but that doesn't do anything in the text buffer or VOX notification. Maybe that should be changed?
