I dont see it doing AH any favors.  After playing WoT for about a month I cant even stand to up a GV in AH any more.

Why not?  Is AH not "flash-bang/power-up" enough for ya?   :D   WoT is the FPS of tank sims.  I was impressed with the graphics but that is about it.  Dont get me wrong, I dont think AH is the king of tank sims but I'd go with AH long before a number of other tanks sims.  Your mileage may vary.

Aces High is almost ridiculous by how far behind it is.
but you see, HTC isnt in the game for the graphics, they are in it for the players to enjoy themself that dont have the money for a custom rig.. money is hard to come by for many for a rig in a good economy, but add in this economy for the past decade? doesnt surprise me its far behind in graphics....

The graphics will also not be on par with Ah either.  They will be multitudes of times better.

Which is good for the xboxers.

The guys who want to fight in different planes will be here. :)

bump:

Beta is slated for release at the end of the year

http://worldofwarplanes.com/

graphics sure look cool, but no cockpit view and they say its more for an arcade feel.

Its free, I'll play it, but I'm sure I'll stick with AH too.

The screenshots so far have inferior graphics to AH.  Our P-39 looks better than the one they show, as an example.

WoP will suck, but World of Battleships is an interesting idea. I'm going to give that one a try.

I have to agree it is very cartoony.  Which is saying something compared to AH.  If its fun i will play it if not then i won't.  I don't need to deal with any of this purist simulator bullcrap.

SIMULATOR- Used to simulate real thing. If you don't like a simulator to simulate real performance, why play?

I believe he is refering to all the setup before flying..... mags on, throttle rich, etc.

AH2 is far from a simulator. Last time I checked, the Bf109s like to run at WEP with M+1 and M+2 off
