I know that they are restoring a B-29 at the Strategic Air Command Museum. Go there whenever I go to Omaha for family. Me and my bro once broke the simulator there lol.

jeez. how much do you think she is worth?

its a real shame she's the only one flying. i wish they'd raise the Recon B29 out of lake mead nevada. a group showed great interest in restoring it but the park wants to keep it down there as a tourist attraction until it rusts away.

what a waste of a fine airplane  :(

She has been in Addison (Dallas) for a few months now.  Ran the Airshow tour for a little while.  When she is in the air you definitely know it!

There is also a static b29 at the PIMA air museum in Arizona.  She has been beautifly restored, just not to flying condition.  I was talking to one of the volunteers at the addison museum where FiFi is based and he commented that they just barely break even most of the time when they fly her for rides.  He also said that unless you pay the big bucks to ride in the nose, it can be a somewhat boring ride; but hell, where else are you going to get a chance to ride in a B29?
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.
