It happened to me once and I was mad as heck at the time but after giving it some thought I decided it was kinda funny.

funny as hell and very acceptable in my book, both to be bombed and doing the bombing.

my squad bombs runways somewhat frequently and it's funny every time.

Better the runway for cheap kills, than to kill the fight by leveling the hangars, no?

Jeepers... next you know dropping any bombs within 5 sectors of your field will be insulting! C'mon! Cut the bomber guys some slack!

I took a rocket hit on take-off yesterday during a Bish hoard base take, so I grabbed a bent winged bomber off the carrier and flew over to repay the favor.  

I was laughing both times.  Take and give, give and take, it's all fun and games.

Dirt needs turning for farming. It airates the soil and improves lawn growth.

I dropped a single 500 from a corsair onto a cv. This was back about 8 years. I remember getting 10 kills instantly as a bunch spawned to take off. We were all rolling with laughter..... well most of us anyway.

I remember spawning to the runway once w/out paying attention and as I sat there I heard this strange noise, I had just enough time to think to myself "hey that sounds like a bo...." and I was back in the tower.


I also remember waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the AH1 days when Mitsu caught a mission on the ground, dropped a couple bombs and ended up with a dozen kills or so and back then each kill was reported to the text buffer in real time as it happen.  So I was flying along and suddenly the whole text buffer was full of Mitsu shot down <playerID#1> in a B-17, Mitsu shot down <playerID#2> in a B-17, etc. etc.

Sorry but any mission poster known well enough to get that many joiners will know enough to not up a mission with an enemy contact nearby.

Maybe not frowned upon, but the ordnance could have definitely been put to better use.  Sure was fun to watch though!
