I checked many different records, and it seems the lowest you can be ranked in a category right now is 2157.  I would assume that's the number who have a least tried the game this tour.  (I'm sure there are at least 1000, because I found someone with a ranking of 1649.  Any guesses who?   )

BTW: Do a bombing mission or two and your rank will increase.  Capturing a field helps a lot too.

Saint,

Don't worry about your rank or score.  If you want to track your performance, look at your K/D ratio and your gunnery.  Those two are all I ever look at, as the ranking things are usually prettymessed up.  K/D and gunnery percentage will give you the info you need to monitor your performance.

I would say kills per time. Anybody can hang back in the gang. Then race to pick off some unlucky con.

TT, I would say you're correct, if you fly the 205 or George all the time...if you fly the FW190, and try the same tactics as one does with the 205/George, you would have 0 kills and 200 deaths...one NEEDS alt in a 190 to be competitive, climbing to alt in a 190 takes time.  If there is a big low-level furball right off your 5K base, then this wouldn't apply in the 190, but in most cases, planes that are B and Z 'ers need to climb to alt to become effective.

K/D ratio IMO, is what counts.  But, I don't keep score, so I could care less.

Furballers are of course going to have the highest Kills per time (K/T), simple fact. Of course look at how many times they have died too.

I go with Kills per Death myself (K/D), and then if two people are fairly even in THAT respect, then I would go with K/T and Gunnery.

Plus that is the most realistic. Simple.

I think the best solutio is to pick out the ratios/stats that matter to you.

I pick gunnery.. well because I suck and I always need to work on that.    And I look at K/D, because I fly a Hog, so I take a LONG time to climb to alt. <G>  But pick whatever stats you personally want to follow and use those, whatever floats your boat.    It's great that we have so many to choose from!
