USA Falls to Japan at Women's World Cup

What an amazing game!! Such a heartbreak for the US to lose because of the penalty kicks.


The US outplayed Japan throughout the entire match and had TWO chances to close the deal but failed to keep Japan capped.


Awesome job to Japan though...excellent team and a finish to be written as one of the closest Finals game in FIFA Women's World Cup history.

..well, missing the goal at the penaltyshooting!! no way LOL...  yes US played better, but what counts are the goals ;)

That was a great match, kudos to Japan for never giving up. They scored the equalizer at the 117th minute, 3 minutes to go in the match. That is tenacity. They deserved this bit of good news

They don't sprint for 120  :rofl, maybe a quick sprint here and there but mainly jogging around for 120 minutes with some standing around.


Don't say football(american) is not the same because of there are "breaks". Three words, no huddle offense.

Our ladies did almost everything for a victory.  I am proud of them.  We will get our championship again in the future.  :aok

It was a great match.  Both sides should be proud.  The sportsmanship was also top notch.  I think it was a great example of how to play sports.

This may be the cleanest and most "beautiful" world cup i've ever seen for both sides.

The commentator made a comment along the longs of 'this is the miracle on ice of soccer!'
