How many are marked "Nothing To See here move along"
or, "See Rule #4"..? That's the thing I intensely dislike about summary moderation, the loss to posterity of some of the more hilarious commentary.
In my schoolship alumni bbs, we once had two guys (not n' more) - who knew each other aboard - get into a flaming war. One of the two guys (call him Will) had had a problem with anal retentiveness and encropresis while aboard. It was an intensely embarassing (perhaps rightfully) teen experience for him since the latter condition involved him sort of "leaking" as those people tend to do. The staff was charged with "monitoring" his "habits" (i.e, trying to get him to take dumps). Anyway, he was nagging a guy named George about the latter's sloppy, incoherent, often obviously drunken posts.
Now, everyone sort of liked Will, even though they knew he had this "problem". Because of this, no one really would talk to him about his "problem".
That is, until 20 years later when George drunkenly retaliated against the nagging Will by pulling out the biggest club at hand and asking Will if he'd learned to uh, wipe up after himself yet. It was pretty in yo' face and hurtful but I laughed and laughed at the "Itchy and Scratchy" nature of the escalating exchange. It was kind of like the HO, a race for the bottom. Such races are sure entertainment. As for Will, well, who cares? I can't understand why someone would thus torture themselves but the species is a bit weird sometimes.
