Let us compromise.
« on: July 19, 2011, 05:09:36 PM »
HTC wants 12 hours, or, what is best for us in his/their minds.

The majority (from what I've observed) wants 1 hour.

Now, the logical compromise would be to change it to 6 hours, the best of both worlds, however.
HTC may not like this, so I propose the limit be changed to 8 hours, in HTC's favor, not popular with
the community, but still not as drastic of a change.

Can both sides agree on this?

I prefer if the time was based of off the numerical player balance of the game. Side switching be used to encourage balanced game play. The problem with an arbitrary time limit, is that no time limit will be correct for all situations.

Hours for what?

Hours between switching sides, in case you've not yet seen the headlines.

I'm one of them, but I doubt it's the majority. Most of the time it's just those who have a complaint who are voicing their opinion. In my experience, the majority of players in game (as opposed to the players on the BBS) do rarely switch at all. I'd guess they would either agree with "12h" or just don't care at all.

Won't stop them, because of: Teamspeak. Skype. Instant Messaging. The good old telephone.
As a matter of fact, even the 12 hours limit won't stop that. We had constant complaints about spies long before we got the short 1 hour switch limit...

Might be because I never change countries on a very regular basis to suit my own personal profitability, but I like this change a lot.
