Yeah.... its just a bad idea.  All the players who cant hit a target with a bomb would start throwing themselves at ships and tanks... with no penalty.  IRL the kamikaze carried a rather hefty penalty.  :huh  Here you just up and get a new ride.

I have a solution: If you up a japanese plane (no, you can't Kamakize with a lancaster  :bhead) and you actually strike an enemy ship, structure, or vehicle while your plane is still capable of controled flight (absolutly NO reason you should do so in a japanese aircraft), you instantly loose all of your perks in all categorys, and you must train a new pilot (teach him navigation and eveything) or fly without the clipboard map, and with the trajectory of your weapons and ordnance randomized to hell. All training must take place in the Training Arena under the guidance of a certified Trainer.

No, bad idea.

Tank-Ace,

We have at least a couple Japanese planes that were not used for kamikaze attacks.

The N1K2-J would be one of those two that were not, so far as I know, used for kamikaze.  Ki-84 is the other.

Yes, but if we include it as a Kamakize aircraft, then we might see a reduction in the number of niki-dweebs that just spray and pray, or suicide into CV's to get just a few kills.

I agree in general kamakazies would be a bad idea for general gameplay.
But I can think of one way it might work. It would have to be setup for one specific plane in the hangar and after you do it you would automatically logged off and not allowed back in game for 12 hours. And have it done by IP address not handle

well.. i think an easy way would be to not award perkies for kamikazes... you up a kamikazee... crash... you will not get perkies...so i'm guessing people will get bored of not getting perkies..... i mean... it also takes a certain level of skill to dive down.. maintain speed... so ack doesn't get you and crash...sounds stupid at times... but i reckon the fun factor in crashing causing damage just seems awesome! maybe it would work in special events... but at least have it somewhere...

Perks are actually a VERY small motivator to most players. For the majority, its about screwing over the red guys, because they're "evil"  :noid.

I hate the animosity between countrys. I don't hold grudges against any side. If a giant Lancaster horde to a base occures, then I'll start trash talking the country that did it for an hour or so, then I let it go.

If you want the immersion of a kamakazie, up a zeke or a ki-61, dive for the carrier, drop it's a and follow them into the ship. Done it a couple times offline to see how well it works, and the bombs hit just after or right when you join the tower.

As for kamakazie planes? NO for the MA

The idea is absurd.  Japanese players have posted in the past saying they oppose the idea.

That said, the word is "kamikaze", a combination of "kami" meaning spirit or divine and "kaze" meaning wind.
