I was 20.
My sister came over and told me there was a problem next door at a party she was at, could I come over to help.
Well.. turns out a guy had brought marijuana into the party, parents weren't home,
he was a bit belligerent about removing it and the ladies were upset,
..so I offered him a choice.. either he could leave or I would throw him out.
He chose the latter.
He started with 'you can't..' ..I grabbed the scruff of his collar and his belt and physically threw him through the front doorway out into the yard where he did a bee-yootiful face plant.
Of course he scrambled to his feet and took a step toward me standing in the doorway.
I waited .. he spouted what he was good at and decided to leave before I re-arranged his face too.
(which I had every intent of doing)
It was his birthday party being held at his fiancee's house.
Kathy had been 'goin with' him for two years.
3 days later I told Kathy she was the Lady I was going to marry.
She was the smartest Lady I had ever met and just as direct as I am,
..no tricks and not a player, solid through-and-through.
Wanted to marry her on April 1st (6 months later)
.. wooda been *perfect* .. but she would have NONE of THAT!!
So we married Apr 3rd, 1971 .. in the Cathedral of St. Jude, by the Bishop no less.
She is still my best friend, we take it one day at a time and enjoy each other's company.
I am a bit more direct than most, learned early that if you see something you want GO FOR IT
.. break the chains others have put on themselves.
