I said TANKERS can't do anything you dolt. Wirb, ostie, and M16 are NOT tanks, they are self-propelled guns.

And coming back in a fighter is locking the barn door with the horse long gone. If I want to use my new KT, you're saying I should fly CAP for myself.

You are ALL giveing the same unhelpfull advice. What you are saying, in effect, is either deal with the massive loss of perks that can result from bomb****s, ignore our panthers that are shooting at you, or just don't GV.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

Ok..you lost me there by saying you can't do anything. And then mentioned having flackers? :headscratch:

Last time i checked a Wirb/ Ostie qualifies as a GV. So if you dont like it, up a wirb or come back in a fighter and shoot down the attacking JABOS

pretty easy

Uhhhh...up a wirb and get killed by the opposing tanks.  :salute

I do not take a GV, anywhere, ever.  I also do not attack GV bases with my aircraft.  I very seldom defend a GV base with my aircraft.  I do not attack GV's at enemy bases.

If, however, you are an enemy GV at my base, game on, no rules except for what the programming allows.

On the icon thingy, the game graphics do not allow by any stretch of the imagination, you to see nearly as well as in RL.  The eye is able to distinguish colors much better, the straight lines that you do not see on a natural object allow the eye to percieve a GV from the air so much better than the game graphis allow that I believe the inclusion of enemy GV icons needs to be in place to better simulate reality.

Yes now you've got it. :aok It is the risk you run buy upping a highly perked tank.

Uhhhh...up a wirb and get killed by the opposing tanks.  :salute

They're free last time i checked...

So your saying "Play the way I want you to, or don't play at all".  Thats hardly fair, but I don't see what I can do in the face of such blind ignorance.

No I'm saying that in the AH community this is how the game is played.

Not so fast. You have to remember that camo's job is to break up the straight lines. In the real world there are an infinite number of object littering the countryside and and infinite number of colors. In AH there are only huts, wagons, and barns, everything else is a GV.  Even without icons it's pretty each to see a gv. This idea that it's so much harder in AH then real life is due to the theory that real eyes see better than the projection in AH only examies half the equation. In game you eye only has to sort through 1/100th the number of colors and object size and shape variations, haze, dust, glare, and other factors. As such I think the Icon is overkill.

Again, No icon for tanks and vehicle without AA capability.
I con at 2500 for Wirb, Ost, M16 [leave as is]  would be a big game improvement.

Easy there bud.

I think he is saying that is the way the game is played and knowing this, make your choices and live with the consequences of those choices.

Sometimes I find myself getting emotionally involved so to make sure I do not add to the negative rhetoric I remember 2 things.

1.)  Think Matrix, there is no spoon, no aircraft, no guns, no enemies, no HO's, no collisions, no GV's, no (overmodeled) ground, etc.

2.)  See my sig line.

 :salute Play nice.

2.5K is beyond the reach of a wirblewind. The bullets themselves only go to about 2K I think. The effect that would be that people know what areas are safe before they're even shot at. Thats an even greater butchery of real life than the current model is. 1.5K (1.75k in actuality) icons still let you avoid trouble if you're vigilant.

I thought they were at 2500 which is why I stated that. is it 1500? my mistake. What ever the current icon distance is for wirbs, is fine by me.

When I am in a gv, I hate the bomb****s, but if I jabo the gvs, I hate the baby talk coming from gv'ers.  For me, in this game, I get upset alot about dumb chit.  But that watermelon is mostly my own bad moves.  This game is a mirror of life really... We get upset with others for doing the same things we do.  We get frustrated at things that really are our own fault... AND... Most certainly, we, as in life, can never be at fault.

But... I only send a nasty PM to the Bomb&Bailers.  That, IMNSHO, is the only gamey thing that truly gets under my skin.

if you cant take being killed in the game then get the hell out of it.

As for this specific example.....  I bet the Salvo Six gave the wrong impression.  :)

GV icon range is 1500yds (1750yds actually). And thats the maximum effective range for most players.

? ? ?  Not sure what we are talking about here......

Icon distance is in yards, altitude is in feet.  GV viewing distance (seeing a gv) ingame is 1500 yards, or 4500 feet.

I thought they were at 2500 which is why I stated that. is it 1500? my mistake. What ever the current icon distance is for wirbs, is fine by me.

Who told you that bad information?  Or do you mean in meters?    Cause that would be about 1300.   :headscratch:

(1750yds actually).
