It hurt the aerodynamics of the car and decreased the top speed by 11 MPH.  It was Dan Gurney's skill that made that car the winner it was.

Yes, let's move this to another thread, if need be.

there's no need to move it.........these "channel surfs" are keeping a good clean fun conversation going in here.  :aok

and it would prollie get smoked ....ha ha ha ha lol   :D

Look at the tires on that wagon, looks like Z rated vette tires. Talk about gettin the groceries.

The insurance would be cheaper on that wagon than a mustang.......and insurance is what rules this world.

if i recall, the gt350's a mid to high 11 second car......pulling over 1g on the skid pad, and 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. i don't recall its top speed though.

i don't dislike mercedes......i've found no reasons to dislike them, as i do the audis, and saabs.......but i want AMERICAN performance. when it comes right down to it, nothing tops american performance, and that includes the camaro.  :aok :bolt:

Those new camaro's and challengers are made in Canadia.

Benz has saftey features that not only put you in better saftey, but get you huge discounts. Insurance companies will over look the turbo because it is standard on their cars.

+ you can haul way more hot women in the estate wagon........ :D

Doesn't matter how fast it goes if the chick feels like you're taking her to the grocery store instead of on a date  :neener:

As its hot shoe, Ford brought 2010 Rolex 24hrs Daytona GT class winner Jonathan Bomarito, so we took the opportunity to gather some hard data on what the Boss could really do. Bomarito and the Boss knocked out two hot laps at 1:40.4 and 1:40.2.

How fast is that? Well, we compared those times against a few vehicles from our MRLS lap-time database and were astonished. With a professional racing driver behind the wheel, the 2009 BMW M3 that competed in our 2008 Best Handling competition clocked a 1:42.9. In our 2009 Best Driver's Car competition the 2010 Shelby GT500 lapped in 1:44.3 while a 2010 Audi R8 did it in 1:40.8. This puts the Boss 302 in a very elite field, and it's not the fastest Boss. According to Ford, Bomarito lapped the Boss Laguna Seca under 1 minute and 40 seconds.

so we have a 48k car that hammers a 100k+ car.  :aok

oh yea....it looks better too.  :devil

It's more than fast, it's a Mercedes-Benz. Drive your hooptie down to the dealer and strap one on....you'll see the difference asap
