M.I.L.S

I'm sure people wondering what MILS is; Mom I'd like to smack (not literally) and I am sure everyone has seen one or two that has no business whatsoever being a parent, much less have their children around.

Few days ago I was out and about and I came across these three girls (probably late teens or early 20s). The mom was talking to her friends and smoking a ciq. I have nothing against people who smoke being I am ex smoker myself, however, this lady  didn't care about the fact the smoke was going right into her baby's face (baby was probably only 6 months old if that). I was polite about and said "excuse me, I couldn't help but to notice the smoke is going right into your baby's face" She said "oh okay" and I walked away. I turned around real quick and the mom is still chattering away and didn't seem to make any effort to get downwind of her baby. I was thinking of letting the PD know but they won't respond unless someone is dead or dying.

I'm a lifeguard and I usually work about 6 days a week 10 hours a day. And I can GUARANTEE you, that I've seen the very worst parents. One day, a couple came up to the pool with a newborn (not allowed) hooked up to an OXYGEN tank (HELL NO) and they started swimming around the pool with the baby carrying the oxygen tank. That right there was a disaster waiting to happen and I had them out of the pool area within 30 seconds of them entering the water.

I've got a whole MESS of stories of bad parents that I can bring up as well. That's one of the worst ones right there though.
No one knows what the future may bring.

I know plenty of girls that are severely depressed, many of whom have told their parents
that they WANT  help.. They certainly need some, no doubt.

The parents simply assume they're wanting attention and roll their eyes.

It is sad to see a good friend suffer and come close to dying, multiple times, over the ignorance
of a parent.

If you're a parent here, not singling anyone out or telling anyone how to be one, but please, just
care for your kid, and for flups sake, listen to them when they have something to say!
