nice :aok is that an RS version of the rekord? :headscratch:

That's the Opel Commodore (not to be confused with the Holden Commodore). Quite a hot ride for it's day on German streets, the following family cars my dad was allowed to buy after my birth had to be much more economical and reasonable ;)
Steam: DrKalv

First cars I really have any memory of what-so-ever from when I was a child were my dad's VW's, namely a 1962 Beatle, pretty much exactly like the one pictured here, except ours had the factory cloth sunroof...

and a '73 VW Squareback, like this but if I remember correctly just a little darker blue:

.

The first car that I ever rode in that really "lit a fire in me" was my uncle's 1959 Triumph TR3a......

and that TR3 was the first car I ever drove, when he let me take the wheel around their neighborhood when I was about 14......

which led me to my first car ever, a 1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500.......

my Spitfire, circa about 1988..

Not quite as glamorous or as pretty as some of the rpevious ones... we finally had to get rid of this good ol' tank this past november. It was over 15 years old. It was a real tank-- rear ended countless times... Had always wanted to drive it. But alas, the transmission dropped. :( :cry

Never got stuck in the snow ONCE. :D
