First car I remember riding in
« on: August 06, 2011, 11:10:08 AM »
My moms 65 GTO,  I don't remember wearing seat belt, think I would just stand in the front seat a look around.  She would bribe me to sit, by letting me shift gears.  I got her right arm a lot, when she had to stop fast.

My grand parent's 1948 Plymouth 4dr sedan is the first car I recall, but my dad's 1949 Oldsmobile is right there too. My mom's 1951 Henry J is also prominent in my memory. My grandfather kept that Plymouth until 1957, when he bought a new '57 Chevy 4dr sedan. The '49 Olds was replaced with a canary yellow '53 Caddy Coupe DeVille, then later, a '57 Caddy. My parents kept the Henry J until dad bought my mom a new 1958 Ford station wagon.

Yeah... I'm an old poop.

A Ford Prefect.

Dad had to get rid of it when my twin brothers came along and got a 1950 Ford.

The first car I remember riding in was my parents 1984 Chevy Blazer.

The first car I probably rode in was my parents 1978 AMC Gremlin.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Dad's 51 Mercury 2dr chopped top, suicide doors, zoomie pipes, with plugs to ignite fuel in the pipes, It sat a cigarette pack off the ground ( dad's 50's lingo) solid spun wheel covers. i loved that car and hoped i would get it when i turned 16 but mom had her way and they traded it in on a mercury montclair ( slanted automatic back window) which was cool the the drive-in's dad would roll the back window down and we would pop our bodies out the window and watch the Movie.  good days good times  :rock
