Hitech, serious request here. Can you please give us the squid back? I really do miss it, and it won't negativly affect the game in anyway. The sheer "lol, wtf is that?" factor will prevent most whining. For the maps without water, place it clinging to a mountian top somewhere, like king kong. If we add this, we might as well go all-out with the lack of any relationship with reality.

I would also like to request our chabum armored sheep. They were very usefull at stoping tank-rounds  .


EDIT: you could also have the squid attack untended captured CV's. If the enemy owns its home port, the squid will attack it after an hour of inactivity.

It was just a gag. It would eat your plane if you drew to near, and would attack your CV. I wouldn't be suprised if the King Tiger supply "bug" was an easter egg that the HTC staff threw in. Not accusing them or anything, I'm fine with the perk loss, its just funny, but they did seem to have the fix for on hand.

I'm pretty certain (actually 100% certain)  that the tiger supply problem was not an easter egg.  I'm really wondering how on earth you came to that conclusion.

I'm all for the squid, I never got to see it.  I am curious as to why someone like you, who is constantly complaining about "realism" wants a giant plane eating squid.

Did I piss you off Mk-84? It seems all you do is accuse me of "whining". Everything I've asked for has as much merit as anything else, and more than some things already in the game.

And all I said is that I wouldn't be suprised. Was actually a friend of mine that brought it up with me. Its not like Hitech and the gang are without a sense of humor. Look at the messages on the clipboard. The ".plane 118", the introduction for the Tiger I and Tiger II, and the Kraken all prove this.

I don't think I've ever came out and said "*X,Y, area of the game* is unrealistic, I want it fixed  !!!"  I've used pre-exising arguments that most seemed to agree with, I've just used them to support what I want. I guess its a crime to bring up things that can't be convinently ignored  .

And I want the squid because I flew with him in Aces High 1, I have good memories of him, and it would be instantly recognizable by everyone that flew in Aces I. Its like having a craving for a favorite childhood snack, its just comforting.

Raptor, HTC likes to put little signatures at the bottom of the clipboard when you first connect to the server. They can say anything ranging from "the futures so bright, I gotta wear shades" to "remember, always pilage BEFORE burning".

You can type in ".plane ***" and it will bring up that plane based on its number. Before the Tiger II was added, when you typed in ".plane 118" it brought a message up in the text buffer saying "you have earned the tagline reading achievment".
