Funny things that happen ingame

Cuaght a buff and escort mission on the ground about to take of with my 262... In 1 pass I killed 23 aircraft then landed as I was pm'ed by 6-7 of them calling me a lucky SOB

We were in the process of taking a rook field several months ago near the center of the map.  While we were fighting in the air some knight brought in an M3 and claimed the base for himself.

I think it was one of the FBs that did it

Back when I was new to the game, RedDevil and I were up in B-17s doing some bombing.  We were in pretty close formation with my bombers below his.

Right after he said he was going to drop his planes exploded and he started cussing up a storm.  After reviewing the film it turned out that his bombs hit my aircraft which caused his to be destroyed.

 

That being said, I once hit a tempest in midair with bombs, was hilarious.

In AH1, while flying a hog with rockets, I was frustrated that I could not catch a B-26 low over the water. I pitched the nose up ever so slightly, pickled off a couple rockets, and some seconds later, splashed the bandit at 2.5k ahead. Friggin cool in my book.

Another time I did a bomb toss from several k away from a group of flaks at a gv spawn while flying a hog. Killed 5. Wish I had noted airspeed and distance. Would be hard to replicate I think.

My favorite though, was when I finally got enough points to fly a jet. Beautiful puffy white clouds around, first jet flight at 20k. Spot an enemy AR-234. Roll in behind him. He dives a bit. I follow, then rapidly compress, pass him, and "play through" at 650kts all the way down to the crash site.

Upping a tank to defend a spawn as usual, to see 20 GV's up a mission, one which was a King tiger (not on a perk deal but over 100 perks) - Shot him first and then in the confusion another 10 GV's, while the GV mission died of course, I upped a 262 to fly back only to catch the Bishops trying to run 10 stukas back to bomb the GV spawn, 4 out of 10 later, they pretty much gave up.

Mean while the entire time I was climbing out in the 262, the King Tiger driver was whining something about cheese.

A long time ago my favorite was flying my P51 over a set of B17s and letting my 2 1,000s go on his head i proceeded to land 3 clean kills and the guy wasnt that happy

I was in an LA7 helping my squaddies to get a field, I made the mistake of trying to turn and burn when a A6m came up behind me and took my tail off. As I was falling my gunsights happened to line up with him, I pulled the trigger quickly and before he could claim my kill, I shot him out of the sky. Poor boy PMed me and asked how that was possible I was dead, I should not be able to kill him. Never underestimate the power of persistence.

One time I was being BnZ'ed by a tempest in my jug. He came in to HO, we merge, and I shoot off some of his control surfaces. He ran, and I didn't take kindly to that, so I chased him for 4 sectors all the way to his base. He must have forgotten I was there, because he was on final approach when I shot him down

Not long after the B29 was introduced (about two months) I was hunting in my brand new 262, when lo and behold, a box of 29's low over the ocean!  I'm thinking, "man is this righteous, right plane right time, right target". Sooooo, I chop throttle, dropped my left wing and made my attack! Everything was going great. The buffs began to fill my sight. I lined up on the lead buff and was just about to squeeze the trigger when I noticed the first hint of compression! My throttle was all the way back to idle, but was still gaining airspeed. I tried to trim up, but to no avail.
My last thought was the laugh that buff driver must have had as i entered the water at close to 650 mph!

Pwned a C-47 so bad with the uber M-3, he kept on going straight to China!

After years of trying I finally pulled off the clipped wing P38.  It happened when I was level enough to still control it with rudder.  Almost made it back too but the right engine died and I didn't have enough alt, nor could I keep it with the other engine throttled back.  Ended up rolling into the dead engine into the drink just off the coast with home in sight.

But now I know for sure it flies with two good engines   It made for a good laugh for me anyway
