Had a nice episode of #6 last night.

Bunnies and I were out over the water in a really nice fight.  We figured we were far enough out that we'd be fine.  Not so.  After Bunnies managed to shoot his taters between my tail booms and somehow miss, we went round and round some more until finally I got lucky and got good hits on him.  He and mook had been telling folks to stay out of it, but alas it was not to be as a guy just blew through and clobbered me.

Yeah I know, it's the MA so it's expected, but we were no threat to anyone else, and no base was in peril.  Was still a heckuva fight while it lasted.  All I could do was laugh

I said it before, but asking me to lay down and die so somebody else can get points when I still have options in my playbook isn't going to happen just because you don't like the options.

Meekly dying is worse than fighting to regain the advantage or at least parity and if I need to run for a bit to find terrain to use or if I have to use the head on, well, it is better than just doing an honorable "Banzai!" charge into death.  As a rule, I dislike choices that have a ~50% chance of killing me and I won't use them until my other options are worse, but I won't dump them as options either.

My mic is busted, but bunnies did politely request on range, and someone else repeated it. I was merely a witness.  This was not long after I flew through your bomber at 300+.


#8 If jets are cheap, then the numbers are whack. At that point, yeah, I'm all for flying jets like they're stolen. Sadly kind of agree with a lot of the other points.

I'm for flying Jets ANYTIME. Period.

Extending, then killing your opponent because you re-gained an E advantage or drug the poor hapless fangs-out unaware slob over your ack is just good clean fun. It's not timid. It's SMART.
In the TA-152 I will drag a pursuing bandit in a slight climb until his WEP gives out. Then I'll turn around and kill him. Timid? No. Smart.

HO...part of air combat. Get over it. Take the shot. I, for one,  will not give you my 6 very easily. You may only have a HO shot or high angle off if any.

1v1..isn't there an arena for that?  Granted, I will not steal a kill if I see a friendly has a red guy all tied up. But seems to me a bit of excessive whining about wanting to fly 1v1. This isn't "Aces High Jousting League".

Ganged...it's air combat. Use your SA to keep that from happening. If it does, use your plane's strengths against the horde's weaknesses. Otherwise plan your mission better.

Vulched...again part of air combat. Don't launch from a capped field. OR, look behind you before you slow down and drop your gear. Nuff said. There is a reason for the overhead approach.

Picking... I think it means the shooting down of a guy with bad SA.

Sounds to me like someone needs to spend a little less time whining and a lot more time LEARNING.

I have been pickersober for 12 hours after staying on the wagon for 22 days.  Last night I accidently ran into base-taking friends I know I shouldn't hang out with and got caught up in the moment.  They offered a taste of the final base to take the map and dammit, I took it...I shouldnt have been with them...they are a very bad crowd to run with but the thought of getting those extra perks for hitting that last base just pushed me over the edge.  As I approached the base at 3K (we needed zero alt as it was completely capped) I tried to resist the awful temptation by waiting for a certain lone F4U1A, struggling hard, to get clear of our GIANT, FUN-VACUUM, SWARMING HORDE but I just couldn't say
no...and I PICKTARDed SHAWK.  He had no chance and as his plane broke into 5.467 MILLION pieces, I saw on 200:

I knew had crossed the line again...
