Create Arena Dump to Desktop
« on: August 09, 2011, 08:17:43 PM »
With version 2.25 patch 2, when a custom arena is first created, as soon as I see the "terrain complete" message (at which point you would normally enter the arena) I get dumped to the desktop. When I come back in, my arena is there and I get in just fine.
My Current Rig:
GigaByte GA-X99-UD4 Mobo w/ 16Gb RAM
Intel i7 5820k, Win7 64-bit
NVidia GTX 970 4Gb ACX 2.0
Track IR, CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Pedals

It happened with bob09 and ndisles. I'll experiment again tonight with other terrains.

I did notice, however, that for ndisles I did not have any tables listed as available to upload (offline or online) even though I had files in the chconfig folder for ndisles. I noticed that the ndisles tables and the dotisles (my custom tables) in the folder had the exact same timestamps.

When I deleted the ndisles tables and went to create an arena, it dumped me as usual, but upon re-entering I now had my custom "dotisles" tables listed and was able to upload them. When I checked the chconfig folder later, I again had ndisles tables along with my custom tables, but this time the timestamps were different and I could still see them to select them for upload.

When I loaded bob09, I was always able see tables to choose from; the timestamps for the bob09 and the dotbob tables were different. Something weird must have happened with ndisles for the table sets to have the same timestamp.

This same problem happend to me right after the update. I was using the luzon terrain.

Terrain loaded and then dumped me to the desktop but was able to start right back up and get in my arena.

TwinRivr dumped too. I guess it might be triggering the arena reboot coad as if we loaded a new terrain from inside the arena.

After some testing tonight, I discovered if you choose <Default> for the configuration dropdown when you create a new arena, it does not dump you to desktop.
