Butch II, P-38 piloted by Capt. Horace M. Hartwig of the 392nd fighter Squadron, 367th Fighter Group.

there was a P38 named "Butcher" however I couldn't find the nose art anywhere.

Hey Butcher,

This is just a hunch, but if you're looking for a skin that has noseart that correspondends to your handle, you might be better off just making a squad art bmp with "Butcher" in it.

It can take a year or more for skin to get created, submitted, approved, and finally in the game.   If you go the sqaud art route, you can be seeing your name on the side of the plane tonight.

This looks like a worthy plane profile. I wish I knew how to skin. Maybe when I get a lot of time, I will sit down and try it out.

That's what I was thinking, if Only I can skin - I had no idea my nickname was named after a plane in the real 367th Squadron. I threw it out there in case
anyone was interested, not really for me personally I just thought the skin looked pretty cool and its tied into my name.

If only I could find the "Butcher" nose art, I seen a few but I strictly remembered seeing a P38 named "Butcher" and suddenly I can't find the art anywhere.

You'd need a little more information to skin it - boom ID letters, tail serial numbers, etc.   It's a nice looking a/c but a tough skin to do on the '38 - the trim rings round the gun muzzle ports have a lot of stretching on the '38s texture map right there.

If you want it bad enough spend some cash to find what you want.

But its a P-38, and one Guppy hasn't wrecked yet, tempting to skin?  :x

I like how each engine appears to have been named.
