Fishing Thread
« on: August 12, 2011, 07:14:37 PM »
Just a thread to post fishing stuff in. Here's mine.

I fish Florida Bay and Cape Sable, Whitewater Bay, Joe River, and Shark River.
Normally we catch snapper, sea trout, snook, and black tip sharks.
My boat is a Tracker Grizzly 1754 w/ 25 hp 4-stroke Merc and a MinnKota salt water trolling motor with iPilot.
Typical day is leave home at 4:00 AM and return 12-16 hours later.

Dolphins in Joe River, 2009. We see dolphins on every trip.

I would tell you where the crappie holes are, but then I'd have to kill ya...   :D

What I call fishing is going to the river, baiting about 5-6 poles with bait a little smaller than the snapper in your pic, then sit and watch while drink increasing amounts of alcohol until something happens.  The "something" may have nothing to do with fishing however.

I like working a jig with a 14' pole along a weed line when the crappie are biting.  They can be wiley little buggers, but great fun to catch and yummy in the tummy to eat!
