Motorcycle crashes are seldom cool, this guy was lucky though.
But I've been up close to a fatal accident once, and that was not a pretty sight. I was driving my car, and the only thing stopping me from seeing what happened was because I had a couple of other cars infront of me. The traffic suddenly stopped, and the reason was a 16year old kid had driven his motorcycle smack into a towtruck that had stopped in the intersection ahead to turn left..

The Ambulance, police and firetrucks came within record time, less than 2minutes because they were located so close. But it was then established that this poor kid had died instantly.. The speed limit at the site was 50, but he might have been faster on his bike. And there was not even as much as a skidmark before he hit the towtruck, so he could not have seen it just standing there..
This is 2years ago, and still to this day the poor kids father comes regularly to the site and places candles and flowers there. Makes me think of how fast lives can change in a blink of an eye, and how little we know ahead of us.
