Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you

I dunno. I will give it a chance, but it is hard to beat Ahnuld as Conan.  He was big, ugly, sounded dumb, and was one tough MF.  This guys seems a bit too small (though buff, no doubt.  He still doesnt fit the "brawny" type, imo), and too flashy.  I will probably go see it just because.

I just hope the movie "Flash Gordon" is remade.  They should being back Brian Blessed as Vultan once again regardless of his age, no one can replace him   :D    SqUUAAAdrruuunhn FooooohhhhTAAY!!!!....... ..... ....  DIIIIIIVE!   **key the music** :aok

Remember UHF?

Conan The Librarian

If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

I don't know, Jason Momoa isn't a small guy.  He might actually be an improvement over Arnold.  I liked him on the Stargate Atlantis series.

Ya, I think I agree.  Reserving final judgement until after I have seen the movie.  Hollywood has an uncanny ability to totally screw the pooch when they have what should be an awesome movie concept.

For instance...

I hate to say it but I like pearl harbor :huh

I cant help it,although it's no where near my top that's for sure.

I am a huge Conan fan I first read him in 82 locked up, Frank Frezetta did the cover and I was just blown away, I read every Conan I could find, eventually I had over 55 books.

Frank Frezetta is my inspiration when it comes to art, his Conan's are the very best in description to REH's....and Jason looks far more like this guy then arny

Should be interesting.

Better than arny?  :huh

Are you smoking crack?  :D :P

Jason is a big guy, but he looks small compared to Arnold on the screen...

However I think checking out this new movie is worth it.  Jason was great in Stargate Atlantis..

Dont get me wrong, Jason Momoa looks the part of a bezerked barbarian very well.  The thing is though, like most original characters in movies it doesnt fit.  The image I have in my mind is a tall, brawny muscle bound, somewhat mentally challenged Arny looking of a guy.    :)  I think a big powerlifting dumbstruck Arnold when I think of Conan, not a ripped well toned triathlete bezerker.  :D

I'm sure it will be fine, Jason Momoa will pull it off.  I'm anxious to see Rose as a witch, too.   ;)

you guys obviously never read the original Robert E Howard stories... first   Conan was a very intelligent individual for his world, he was Panther like, far from Muscle bound, REH describes him at around 16,  6'0" 180   with smoldering blue eyes and BLACK hair.

the movie's with Arnie are a disgrace to REH's Conan, don't get me wrong I very much enjoy the first movie but I don't think of it as a "Conan" movie.

if you enjoy the Conan stories and have never read Robert E Howard....well that is something you need to correct :aok

It came out today. I was going to see it but wasnt feeling well. The two star rateing didnt bother me cause thats what "Gladiator" got from these reviewers and went on to win the Oscar. Next week I'll go see the 3D version.
Yes, your on "Ignore"
