school project - looking for some feedback

Hey everyone -
I'm going to school for another degree and part of one class involves games.
Right now we are going over the different genres of games like sports, rpg, fps, mmo, etc.
I was using aces high as an example and I'm looking for some feedback.

When it comes to a multiple player on line game there seems to be the notion that there is another world within the these types of games. A community I guess you could call it.
 
Do you prefer these types of games opposed to a single player first person shooter or a game of tetris?
Do you enjoy the real interaction with real people on your side/squad?

How personal do you get within the game? For example I know I have heard some great conversations "about hitting an air show", "meeting up with one other" or "I have to go the wife is home and I didn't take the garbage out". (which I thought was funny as heck - dog house time!)

Looking for some feedback and appreciate it.

I have been with aviation related games since 1993. I was a member of a squad in AW and had a rather tight group in the squad. That squad moved to confirmed kill. I didn't care much for that game so stayed with AW until the squad switched to AH. I came back to the squad as an active member and flew until 2004 when I had to drop my account because we started living in an RV full time traveling all around the country. A satellite connection has far too much lag for an online game.

I still have contact with several of the guys in that squad (13th TAS). I've traveled to Kansas to been a bunch in KC. Those guys were the ones I told when I was going to propose to my wife, before I did pop the question. I have goon BBQ crawling on visits with a couple of the guys and still keep up with what is going on with them. I even traveled to another state to help out another who could use a hand in his aircraft shop doing clean up and sorting of parts. I have 3 guys numbers on my phone speed dial and send e-mails on occasion.

It was a very good group and I am happy to count several of them as friends.
