is there any other programs other than GIMP and paint to make gunsights? particularly free ones? id like to make an illuminated gunsight and paint just cant do that.

you could try  Paint.Net   http://www.getpaint.net/  which is Free and works very well!  it is like Photoshop & PaintShop Pro combined


or you could try Twisted Brush Studio ( Pro or Open  versions  the Open version is Free )    http://www.pixarra.com/download.html


or you could try NeoPaint  ( there is a free trial you can download )  http://www.neosoftware.com/npw.html
