World of Tanks

Read a bit of it here an there.
Figured I would give it a try after checkin out the website.. hey ..it's free, and not much of a hard drive footprint.

Next thing I know it's 4am and gettin up outta the chair to go to SLEEP is nigh impossible, but .. I did it.

Honestly ..it's a simple first person shooter dressed in MMO trappings with Tanks.
You wouldn't think I would get sooo sucked in ..but .. I *love* the way they BLOW UP!!

I mean ..a meeting engagement looks like some Junkyards I have been to, only tons more scrap metal . . ROFL.
Hunting  .. works.

When I have the patience.

Watching a King Tiger work an engagement is just ..ohh man, he just one-shotted that guy .. holy crap!
(after you get kilt you can right click to watch other team mates work)

The tanks look amazing. HT has better physics by far. Run and gun is the order of the day for us light tankers.
I miss my Jenner, but it is literally the same tactics. I can run around a heavy faster than his turret can traverse, but ..
..I cant do any damage .. best to stay hidden from those guys

It's 3 days later now and I swear it's as much of a grind as leveling an Orc .. but ..it's got me.

 Certainly not as realistic as AH, and that's been beaten to death here.  Realistic or not, something about it is addictive and fun.
Been playing since Closed Beta so the grind gets old after a while but it still drags me in.  Back up to my JagdTiger again.  If ya ever want a platoon just give a holler, I got some Low tiers I need to work on (working up every TD line).

Jenner ?!! Wow . haven't heard that in a long time . I started playing Mechwarrior when it was a board game called Battledroids. I think Lucas nuked them for copyright infringement and made them change the name . It was called Battletech sfter that . What a fun game .

Im on there as well as Vuduvince currently with the clan KIA2(killers in action 2nd Batt.) working my way on up, in the med/heavy tanks.

edit:But for me theres no way it can replace AH for me I always come back.

WoT was good at first...but now you gotta pay just to get out of 1 damn tank. havent played since the full game came out in april.

Hmm? .. I have been movin up the progression ..took me awhile to figure out how to get into the next tank in series.
Credit earned is what you 'spend' to buy most of the tanks and upgrades .. earned by battles.
Then there's research you have to do in the tier you are in to unlock the tree to allow you to get the next tank.
It takes awhile .. cant just rocket thru it, but it has allowed me to learn a bit for a fact.

I still suck ..but . . got my PzIV with the 75 long gun ..first time I fired it made me jump,
didnt expect it to be so LOUD after alla popguns I had to that point

I still hate KV's .. wascals.

Just now learnin how to add friends to a contact list .. will have to troubleshoot mic an see why it's dead.

I enjoy the random battles .. lotsa tanks and mayhem, middle of towns look like a wreckin yard when the battle ends

Just got the maus last week, rofl as the 99th round bounces. Artillery still messed up, seeing 4-5 deathstar orbital strike death rays every game

When you get into big tanks you will "lol" at KVs when you can one shot them.
