I keep getting discoed from the game. This started with Windows 7. Not sure what to do. I've done everything I can think of but no go. Was booted 3 times last night.

A DXDIAG output might reveal something. Seems many users of Windows 7 are not installing the native sound card drivers as the Microsoft drivers work, most of the time (they crash almost every DirectSound based application on the market).

Can I assume you have the CH gear connected to an externally powered USB hub? CH gear pulls almost the maximum power the USB bus can supply. If you have anything else USB connected, then there is a good chance you will run into stability issues.

That said, discos could also be the Internet itself. A ton of problems have arisen with all the comm outages due to Irene. Try running a Ping Plot to 206.16.60.38, right after a disco, and see if there are any issues related to the Internet which could be causing it.

I don't use a hub. I do have the throttle assembly plugged into the front. I tried the back but it wasn't recognized.

this might not pertain to you having connection issues, but most of the reports I have seen regarding ATI Cat 11.7 drivers ( Video /CCC ) have reported that performance is flaky and is less than what the Cat 11.6's provided.... so they quickly came out with Cat 11.8 Drivers less than a month after the Cat 11.7 version.....

as for the connect issues : I use http://testmy.net/ and http://www.speedtest.net/ to check my connection speeds and pings ( as well as using ping plotter )..... the testmy site always seems to be very accurate, to where speedtest is more inline with my ISP ( I think they inflate the speeds )........ joining either site is free, and lets you have the ability to run speed diagnostic test over set lengths of time and store the results, etc.....

this might not pertain to you having connection issues, but most of the reports I have seen regarding ATI Cat 11.7 drivers ( Video /CCC ) have reported that performance is flaky and is less than what the Cat 11.6's provided.... so they quickly came out with Cat 11.8 Drivers less than a month after the Cat 11.7 version.....

Thanks TC! I was just running through my head the possible issues. I started thinking it was overheating but that doesn't sound right since I just go to desktop and not BSOD. It starts out fine but then as you say becomes flaky. The game starts off just fine and then it gets just a hair jittery after about an hour. Even the clipboard is micro jerky. That's about the time I know it's time to land.

I have an external powered hub. I may get that connected again to see what happens. I use a 750 watt PS by PC Power and Cooling.

Also I was able to get the throttle to work on the back USB port so all assemblies are now connected in the back.
