Thanks for all the tips guys, All I have to do is go out and get the paint. Also, do you all think that spray-paint would be OK for painting it?

Spray paint will do just fine for the exterior of the aircraft. Testors makes small spray cans in military colors under their Model Master line. Note that spray paint goes on fairly heavy, so do light coats to build up color to preserve detail. Also, make sure you use primer. Another tip, submerge the can in warm water for 5 min before painting. This will make the paint flow easier and more consistant from the can.

Get yourself some real fine sandpaper to clean up your glue seems and small painting problems.

I built an eduard 190a5 awhile ago but the fit wasnt great and I think I was rushing it which didnt help. So there it sits <G> This was the last thing I finished and it was probably over a year ago now. I really oughta pick something off the shelf and get busy.

Well I've just back to it so nearly a beginner again. Right now I'm building this: It's a Bristol Fighter made by Wingnuts Wings of New Zealand, 1/32 scale.

Not my model, I should add. I'm still waiting for the right paints to arrive from England. No model shops around here.

It's beautifully made and detailed. I hope I can do it justice.

Thats not a bad idea for future projects. That one there is actually suppose to be like that. I wanted it to look like a gate guard scene. Thats why I have the JG26 emblem at the bottom, the grass and the Obrst standing there. Henchman had given me the kit as a Christmas gift. I needed to find a way of using the figure that came with the kit and thats what I came up with.

Every model I made was put through a stress test whether fire of explosives.

We built a Bismark and then sank it via fireworks in our pool  :D :rock

I got the paint! Also, I got something I think is a bit easier to build. I got a B-25J which I'm going to start building soon. I might put up some pictures of my progress, Maybe. Thanks for all your help guys!  :aok  I don't expect it to look perfect as a first model but I'll try my best.  :)

Hi guys, Jeff here IPMS #31180.  It is cool to see all the model pics.  I just got done with a superbug in a real mans scale 1/72nd.  Here is a great pics website airliners.net .  Anyway, have been building since I was 13, ran shows, went to the nationals and have a great club here in Kansas City.  Just google my name if you want to see some of my stuff.  Jeff Bobela.  Getting ready to work a me-109 late war.   :airplane:

My eyesight has gone downhill so I haven't done models in about 6 years. Here's two of the last ones I built and the quality was so poor compared to what I could once do because of my eyesight I gave it up. A 78th FG P-51D and Heinz Bär's FW-190 while he was with JG-1. The photos are not very good I took them with and old Dollar store disposable camera.
