The US estimate was 4.7 square miles of blast.fire damage. An interesting tidbit is that the Enola Gay felt the
shockwave 11.5 miles away at 30k +. Kind of makes you wonder what an aircraft at 10,000 feet and within 5 miles
would have felt. Disregarding the potential for blindess, burns and radiation poisoning...all of which might have a slight
effect on combat effectiveness
