RULES

· General Tournament Rules

-- All merges will be co-alt at 7.5K until within icon range at which point a merge break can begin.  In addition all players shall observe a 7.5K hard ceiling and a 7.0K hard floor at all times prior to the merge.

That means AFTER we get icon, you must not go below 7.0k till you actually cross the 3/9 line?
Or once we get icon,  you can do ANYthing?=)  :joystick:  :old:           elfy

I didn't know it was Spek. What do you mean "Everyone knew". Hmmmm can you speek for EVERYONE? and if Spek wasn't try to fool anyone, why did he enter under a different name? I think he was trying a little gamesmenship, but word got out early.

Please retract your ding ding ding.

Thank you.  :salute

ok rephrase:

Everyone knew it was Spek except Vinkman.

to me it means that you must be between 7.0k and 7.5 k until after merge then you can go to any alt that you feel will get you a win.

I'm worried. We haven't flown a single match and we already have a couple pages of moaning about? ??

Is this just part and parcel? Can we clam it and fly? If not take me off this list. Let me know and I can skip to the 9th.

7-7.5K until icon range then you can do what you want.  I'll reword it prior to the tournament to eliminate ambiguity.

so if someone comes in at 6.9k or 7.6k prior to icons then what are the penalties for breaking this rule?  the infraction would only really become evident after the fight so does the offender get a slap on the wrists and a rematch or disqualification?

It looks like you can probably break the alt limit for one of the duels, but if you get caught then you won't be able to do so in subsequent rounds - I'm sure BE will clarify though

RULES

· Rules Violations

- Any player caught breaking the rules twice in any tournament will be automatically ejected from the tournament.

Did you see my dad on dogfights yet?

As with everything nothing can be written in stone so it will likely depend on the situation.  If it results in a loss I'd say no big deal but issue a warning.  If it results in a win but a lost series same deal.  If a warning is issued then a second offense should be a DQ but those are just my opinions.  If it results in a win and a series win then likely a rematch for the first offense and a DQ for a second but I'm going to step aside and let the review committee decide.

The real question is how difficult is it to maintain alt prior to the merge and why is it everyone has to push the rules to the edge?  The tournament hasn't even started yet and I can already tell how it's going to go.  Let's just play and have fun.  It's really not that hard.

If you really want to push the limits then go ahead and take your chances with the review committee.  I've had to temper some pretty harsh judgements in the past and may not be inclined to do so this time around.

The rules only concern those that care more about winning than they do having a good time with the fights. Think back to the times there has been a question regarding a rule been broken. Think about those people...You will see a trend I am sure.
